Make sure the mounting surfaces of the crankshaft nose, the vibration damper, and the pulley are clean, dry, and free of burrs.

If removed, install two guide studs into the crankshaft nose at 180 degrees apart.

If removed, install the vibration damper. Refer to Procedure 001-052 in Section 1.

NOTE: This section is for installing the non-front engine power take-off (FEPTO) option.

Install the pulley, clamping plate, and barring adaptor onto the guide studs.

Use clean 15W-40 engine oil to lubricate the capscrew threads.

Install the eight capscrews.

Remove the two guide studs and install the two remaining capscrews.

Tighten the capscrews in an alternating star pattern.

Torque Value:  203  n.m  [150 ft-lb]

NOTE: This section is for installing the FEPTO option.

Install the pulley onto the guide studs.

Use clean 15W-40 engine oil to lubricate the capscrew threads.

Install the four shorter capscrews, spaced as shown.

Tighten the capscrews in an alternating star pattern.

Torque Value:  203  n.m  [150 ft-lb]

Install the FEPTO adaptor onto the guide studs.

Use clean 15W-40 oil to lubricate the capscrew threads.

Install the longer capscrews.

Remove the two guide studs and install the two remaining capscrews.

Tighten the capscrews in an alternating star pattern.

Torque Value:  203  n.m  [150 ft-lb]
