Cummins ISX11.9 CM2250 – Service Manual 001-031   Gear Cover, Front

NOTE: This section is for the hydraulic drive front gear cover option.

Install a new press-in seal into the groove on the front of the gear housing.

Align the formed shape of the seal to match the groove in the gear cover and press the seal into place. Be sure the locating tabs mate with the notches in the groove.

Install the gear cover and mounting capscrews.

Install the studded capscrews into locations marked during removal.

Tighten the capscrews for the hydraulic drive gear housing in the sequence in the illustrated.

NOTE: This section is for the non-hydraulic drive front gear cover option.

Install a new press-in seal into the groove on the front of the gear housing.

Align the formed shape of the seal to match the groove in the gear cover and press the seal into place. Be sure the locating tabs mate with the notches in the groove.

Install the gear cover and mounting capscrews.

Install the studded capscrews into locations marked during removal.

Tighten the capscrews for the non-hydraulic drive gear housing in the sequence illustrated.
