Clean the closed crankcase ventilation valve housing, spring and diaphragm in warm soapy water.
Dry with compressed air.
Inspect the crankcase ventilation valve housing, spring and diaphragm damage.
Pay close attention to the diaphragm. Inspect for cracks, tears, and brittleness.
Replace any damaged component.

NOTE: The crankcase ventilation valve is a sealed unit and can only be replaced as an assembly.
Clean the closed crankcase ventilation valve in warm soapy water.
