The intake throttle body has an electric DC motor to move the throttle plate.
The intake throttle body is controlled by the PCM. The valve is powered in both the open and closed positions.
The intake throttle body helps create the delta pressure difference between intake and exhaust for EGR flow, regeneration and shutdown noise.
