Replacement
Preparatory Steps:
• Disconnect the cold starting aid, if used.
• Remove the air crossover tube, if used.
• Disconnect the charged air cooler hose, if used.
• Remove the high pressure fuel lines.
Removal
10 mm
Remove the manifold cover, gasket, and grid heater if equipped.
Cleaning
Clean the sealing surface.
NOTE: Keep the gasket material and any other material out of the air intake.
Installation
10 mm
Install the cover and a new gasket.
Torque Value; 24 N®m [18 ft-lb]
Assemble the intake piping and connect the cold starting aid if used.
Torque clamps to 8 N®m [75 in-lb].
