Install the spider coupling, the mounting gasket, and the fuel pump. Tighten the pump mounting capscrews.
Torque Value: 47 N•m [35 ft-lb]
Connect the fuel supply hose, the fuel rail supply tube, and the gear pump drain tube.
STC Engines
Install the fuel pump drive spider coupling.
Use a new gasket to install the fuel pump.
Install the four fuel pump mounting capscrews.
Torque Value: 47 N•m [35 ft-lb]
Install the AFC air signal line and fuel tubing:
• Gear pump cooling drain (1)
• Fuel inlet supply (2)
• Fuel rail pressure line (3)
• AFC air signal line (4)
• Tachometer cable (5)
• Fuel pressure sensing line (to STC valve) (6)
Engines using PT PACER require a mounting support bracket on the fuel pump and engine block due to the
added weight of the PT PACER pump.
The PT PACER pump support bracket is required to provide acceptable fuel pump mounting gasket performance.
Install the bracket and tighten the capscrews alternately and evenly to both the fuel pump and engine block.
Torque Value: 47 N•m [35 ft-lb]
