1. Install the flywheel.
2. Install the flywheel washer with the beveled side facing the engine.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.
3. Install NEW flywheel bolts.
2. Tighten the bolts a second pass to 60 degrees using J 45059 .
3. Tighten the bolts a final pass an additional 60 degrees using J 45059 .
5. Remove J 44643 from the flywheel. See Special Tools .
6 . Install the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement for the 4L 60-E /4L 65-E /4L 70-E transmission, Transmission Replacement for the 4L 50/4L 80/4L 90 transmission, or Transmission Replacement for the Allison transmission.
