Cummins ISX11.9 CM2250 – Service Manual 003-019   Crankcase Breather Element

Loosen the eight cover mounting captive capscrews.

Remove the element cover.

Remove and discard the crankcase breather element.

NOTE: Discard the crankcase breather element in accordance with local environmental regulations.

Wipe out any excess dirt or oil from the inside of the cover.

Install the new crankcase breather element in the breather housing.

Make sure the element is properly seated in the housing so the seal will not be cut, crimped, or otherwise compromised when installing the element cover.

Install the cover.

Tighten the eight captive mounting capscrews.
