Mix roughly 1 to 2 ounces of exhaust manifold sealant into a small plastic disposabe cup. Mix thoroughly until the
sealant is homogeneous. Use VersaChem® Qualco’M Part Number, 00160 or equivalent.
Apply an even, liberal layer of exhaust manifold sealant 19 mm (0. 75 in] wide directly to the male end of the
manifold. The sealant band must not be closer than 6 mm (0.25 in] from the outer exposed end.
Stand the mating parts on the cylinder head mounting flanges.
Slide the mating manifold parts together.
NOTE: During installation, be sure to m1n1m1ze any excessive movement in the axial and radial direction of the
two piece manifold.
