1. Apply RTV Silicone Sealant (F5TZ-19G204-AB) to the rear oil seal retaining ring and the
crankshaft rear oil seal retaining bolts.
2. Using the Driver Handle (205-153, T80T-4000-W) and the Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Service Set (303-S485, T94T 6701-AH), install the crankshaft rear oil seal. See Fig. 126.
Install and tighten crankshaft rear oil seal retaining bolts to specification. See Fig. 124. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS.
3. On vehicles equipped with an A/T, install the flexplate spacers and bolts. See FLEXPLATE. On vehicles equipped with an M/T, install the flexplate spacers and bolts.

4. Install transmission. On vehicles equipped with an A/T, see appropriate REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article in AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS. On vehicles equipped with an M/T, CLUTCHES article for 2002 models or MANUAL TRANSMISSION for 2003 models.
