The camshaft position sensor is located on the front gear housing on the intake side of the engine.

Remove
|

Disconnect the sensor from the engine harness.
Remove the engine speed sensor from the gear housing.
|
|
|
|
|
Inspect for Reuse
|

|
Inspect the camshaft position sensor for debris, cracks, or other damage from contact with the tone wheel.
If there is debris on the camshaft position sensor, clean the sensor.
If the sensor is chipped, cracked, extruded, or otherwise damaged, replace the sensor with a new one.

Install

Install a new o-ring onto the camshaft position sensor.
Install the new sensor into the mounting hole.
Connect the sensor to the engine harness. Push the connectors together until they lock.
An audible click will be heard as the connectors lock in place.
Torque Value: 25 n.m [221 in-lb]
