
[1] – Remove engine. (See Remove Engine in this Group.)

IMPORTANT:
FLYWHEEL IS HEAVY! Do not remove flywheel mounting bolts unless flywheel is secure. Use a hoist and lift rings, or get help to lift flywheel from crankshaft.
Remove five flywheel mounting cap screws (A).
[3] – Pull flywheel from crankshaft alignment pin.
[4] – Inspect flywheel ring gear teeth for wear or chips.

IMPORTANT:
Always install new flywheel mounting cap screws.
Install flywheel:
a. Align flywheel on alignment pin and install five new flywheel mounting cap screws.
b. Tighten cap screws to specification.
