The function diagram for the IDM PWR includes the following:

• IDM main power relay

Function
The Injector Drive Module (IDM) requires a 12 V power source. The operating power is received from the
vehicle batteries through the IDM main power relay contacts each time the ignition switch is turned ON.
When the ignition is turned ON, the IDM provides an internal ground to the coil side of the IDM main power
relay. This closes the relay contacts and provides the IDM with necessary power.
